Clinical programming is still full of repetitive, manual steps—but generative AI is starting to change what that work looks like. This session shows how SAS is exploring AI-assisted clinical data transformation, using LLMs to help generate raw-to-SDTM mappings, SDTM-to-ADaM specifications, code, and traceability views across the clinical data flow. The emphasis is not on replacing programmers, but on giving them a stronger starting point: automating the bulk of mapping and code generation while experts review, validate, and finalize the outputs. For teams under pressure to shorten submission timelines, the approach offers a practical path to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and keep human oversight where it matters most.
