Milestone Highlights and Stats:

 

Thank you for participating in the SAS Hackathon 2024! We are thrilled to have kicked off this year’s event, a true cross-business unit initiative and collective team sport for all of SAS, in collaboration with our sponsors Intel and Microsoft.

 

Registrations:

  • Record number of 1,725 participants from 71 countries
  • 727 distinct organizations
  • 133 approved teams with approximately 627 participants

We are now in the second week of the hack, and we hope your creativity and coding skills are taking your team to new insights and heights!

Each team is responsible for two videos that meet these specifications:

  • Format: .mp4 (or .mov)
  • Resolution: Preferably 1920x1080 (or 1280x720)
  • Frame rate: 30 frames per second
  • Bitrate: 5-10 Mbps
  • Maximum file size: 500MB
    (if larger, re-encode at a lower bit rate until it falls under 500MB)
  • No background music due to commercial licensing restrictions.

SAS Hackathon Awards and Scorecard criteria

22 prizes with a Jury for each category that will evaluate the teams based on 8 criteria,
scoring from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest), summing up to a maximum score of 40 points.
