If you could only see one show in Vegas, which one would it be?

I would recommend any of the Cirque du Soleil shows. If you like the Beatles see "Love." The last one I saw was "O" at the Bellagio and it was unbelievable!

Oh, the best bang for the buck is definitely this one:  http://www.sas.com/en_us/events/sas-global-forum/sas-global-forum-2016/training/sas-tutorials.html#m...

...and becoming inspired at that "show", you'll want to catch a great follow-up act: http://www.sas.com/en_us/events/sas-global-forum/sas-global-forum-2016/training/sas-tutorials.html#m...

Was not aware of the pre and post conference seminars.   Booking a couple of those now!!   Thanks for the info!

#1 would be Penn & Teller, but they're on tour (I've checked..)

So I'm hoping to get to one of the Cirque Du Soleil shows.. (although who knows what the SGF Opening will be..??)

[FYI - some (most?) of Vegas versions of the "Broadway" shows (The Producers, etc) I tend to avoid because they're often cut-down to fit 3 shows per day..]

I'm looking for folk music venues, if anyone knows about one.

Trying to imaging Vegas showgirls & burlesque dancers, all performing to folk music - just can't seem to make it work.. (and I'm an avid Steeleye Span fan, BTW - does that count?)

Andrew,

Steeleye Span?!?!?  Haven't listened to them in ages, but was a BIG fan back in the 70's.

As long as we are waaaaaay out on a tangent here:  I once saw them as the opening act for... ready?... King Crimson.  Yea, I know; what a freakin' unlikely pairing.  But, true, nonetheless.

Best of luck in all your SAS endeavors!

Ok, we almost have enough interest in a Folk Meetup! (Not performing, hell no, but worth catching and comparing notes..)

A folk music meetup would be great!  Just to clarify, I am not a performer but an active supporter of the singer songwriter community.

Might wear my Steeleye Span 25th Anniversary Tour T-shirt - see who picks up on it.. (I just got the CDs at the 40th Anniversary Tour..)

I'd be interested in meeting up with fellow folkies.

It's a shame that (safely) carrying a guitar on a plane is so tricky with most airlines.

Sure, I'd go to Steeleye Span if they were there! I know that Las Vegas isn't a folk music town, but one hopes that they have something for everyone, somewhere.

I am looking for folk music venues as well. So far I have found some online listings for Irish music. I will ask around and will post anything I find out.
