Over the past few years, the Census Data Application Programming Interface (API) team has been hard at work aligning themselves with the Digital Government Strategy, growing their list of publicly available data sets and providing access to key US statistics. The Census API makes key demographic, socioeconomic and housing statistics more accessible than ever before, with more data sets continuously added over time. This session demonstrated the reusable collection of SAS programs and macros that can run from SAS® 9.4 M4 on both Linux and Windows platforms. Extract data from the Census Data API to create SAS datasets in as little as three steps.
