The relationship between Comelit and SAS is a long-term one. We chose SAS 10 years ago for the cutting-edge technology, high grade of stability and continuous support. The use of the SAS software has an impact on all the functions across the company, with120 SAS users worldwide, in various departments. We created BI group reports and analytics reports and KPIs in many areas like accounting, sales, working capital, product quality, purchase, logistic and warehouse. We also carried out consolidated financial statements, sales budget and forecast, analysis of variances, cost analysis and sales delivery performance analysis. We’re using SAS to study and analyze topics like returns and related reasons, warehouse product rotation, supplier rating analysis. Comelit is also using analysis to build company and group data warehouse with ETL jobs, SAS Viya VA KPI and reports, merging data coming from ERP, CRM and surveys. We recently migrated our SAS Visual Analytics 3.5 architecture to the new SAS Viya 4 platform in GCP Cloud. We can testify that the passage to Viya on cloud is easy: the data and report migration is simplified thanks to the use of JSON files and a simple export and import web interface. Comelit plans to evaluate the SAS Visual Forecasting on SAS Viya 4 to be used by our planning team for a company-wide demand planning project.
