AI based reservoir modeling is an alternative approach to build a reservoir model using machine learning techniques to forecast production from a reservoir and find optimum new drilling locations. This method uses past production data, injection data, well properties and known reservoir properties to build a model of the reservoir. A forecast is made for full production, and an infill location is also suggested. This is a new way to build the reservoir simulation model, and Oges is the first company in the world which is doing this work with SAS. The workflow is proprietary to Oges, and we developed it to achieve better history matching and better prediction.
