I have a report that is formatted wide with special charater, *, ≥ and ≤. The asterik imports fine but not the ≥ and ≤, these symbols get imported as a ?.
I need to import this file so I can transform the data from wide to long format using Transpose. I have to do this every year for three different large files, so the the long format can be published for app developers.
Each instance is unique in that if its ≥95%, there will never be a 95% or a ≤95% etc. A global replace of ?95% with ≥95% would work, but TRANWRD does not like the ≥.
I have been doing the replace in Excell, but would like to find a code solution, since this will be an ongoing task.
Here are the fields that are having an issue and what they should be:
?95% to ≥95%
?5% to ≤5%
?98% to ≥98%
?2% to ≤2%
?99% to ≥99%
?1% to ≤1%
