In EG 7, my typical workflow is to create a process flow, add my programs, etc., and then document them by adding a note on each program that says what the program does - inputs, outputs, that sort of thing.  It would be listed in the Project Tree below the program (as a subnode, really, as you can close it with a +). 

 

In EG 8, that is no longer possible; all notes are collected at the top.  It's possible to attach a note to a program in the Process Flow, so it's clearly still possible to link programs and notes; but they're no longer displayed together in the Project Tree.

Is this something that could be changed?  I am someone who doesn't use the actual process flow, I just use the Project Tree to manage my programs, and it's annoying to not be able to have program-specific notes anymore.  (I think it's *also* useful to have process flow-level notes, but that's a different thing.)

 

Here's an example of how I would use it (with a dummy project):
