Hello Heidi,
the CI_TREATMENT.CURRENT_VERSION_FLAG is an indicator to identify the most up to date treatment code value from the campaign. It is significant while using the TREATMENT_CD in reporting or analysis when campaigns have evolved and changed dramatically over time. It useful to ensure you're using the values for the most up to date treatment code from the campaign being analyzed.
When you add a treatment code to the Treatment facility the following happens:
1. Initial CURRENT_VERSION_FLAG is set to Y
- User must a)add treatment code to Treatment Facility, b)assign treatment code in a campaign, c)publish or execute the campaign
- TREATMENT_SK is then added (is incremented when there are significant changes to the treatment_code itself)
- VERSION_NO is set to 1 initially (is increment and coincides with the number of changes to a treatment code)
2. CURRENT_VERSION_FLAG does not change if, User adds custom detail to treatment Code in the Treatment Facility and do not refresh Treatment Page in the campaign, do not "update" or "rejects" the update from within the campaign Treatment page, it will skip a sequence in the TREAMENT_SK
3. CURRENT_VERSION_FLAG will change if the User does all of the following: a) make a change to the treatment Code in the Treatment Facility, b) save the change in the Treatment facility, c)within Treatment page of campaign, select "refresh page" d) Select the "Update" and "Accept Selected Updates" option on the treatment code within the campaign and e) publish or execute the campaign.
In summary, you must take some action to add, remove, or modify the treatment code after the initial assignment of the code in the Treatment Facility in order for the CURRENT_VERSION_FLAG to change. Subsequent updates of the treatment code and publishing or execution of a campaign will change the CI_TREATMENT.CURRENT_VERSION_FLAG from Y to N or vice versa.
I hope this helps.
Happy Marketing!
