In the SAS Communities Library there are hundreds thousands of helpful articles on just about any SAS related topic. SAS also has a very active blog site, again with years worth of posts, on many different topics. For the next SAS Bowl, we'll turn our focus to one of the more popular blogs: Graphically Speaking.
SAS Bowl XIII, Graphically Speaking blog, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 4 PM ET.
The Graphically Speaking blog focuses on the usage of ODS Graphics for data visualization in SAS. The blog covers topics related to the Statistical Graphics procedures, the Graph Template Language and the ODS Graphics Designer.
The blog is written and curated by familiar SAS Community Super Freqs @GraphGuy and @DanH_sas. The duo somehow publish on a weekly basis, on some of the most interesting topics found on the site.
It was extremely hard to whittle down the vast archive to focus on a few posts. Here is a list of we'll use to pull questions from for the SAS Bowl.
This list misses some of my top picks (see the end of this post for my faves). I HIGHLY encourage you to view the blog and dig into more of it's awesomeness. I truly check the blogs site on a weekly basis to see what's new.
For those who may be new to the SAS Bowl, you can find game history and specifics in this Community memo. There you'll also find links to previous events, which include recordings.
Add the game to your calendar, download the article attachment for an event reminder, or select the 'Yes' option to the right in this Community Calendar Event. No pre-registration is required. On game day, access the game URL, provide your SAS Support Communities username (so we can identify you when you win), and show off your SAS and worldly knowledge while competing for bragging rights and SAS Community game gear.
'See' you October 12!
Here are some of my favorite posts. They won't necessarily provide content for the game, but are certainly worth a read.
