Welcome to the SAS Certification Community created for SAS Certified Professionals and anyone who wants to learn more about how to become SAS Certified. We're happy you're here and hope you'll find this community both collaborative and useful. My name is Becky Gray and I'm your community manager. I am an exam development project manager for SAS Global Certification so I’m passionate about helping people become SAS Certified.
The first step in building our community is getting to know one another. Please introduce yourself to the group in the comments below (reply to this discussion) and include any of the following:
You may be familiar with the old saying, “There is strength in numbers.” Over 94,000 SAS certifications have been awarded to individuals in 112 countries. As we launch and build this new community, you can harness the knowledge and power of this large group of individuals who collectively share a wealth of knowledge about many different aspects of SAS products and solutions.
We want to spread the word about the SAS Certification Community. Please share this link with your colleagues and encourage them to join this community so they can learn more about SAS Certification as well as share their knowledge with others about how to become SAS Certified.
Hi Beverly,
I have 4 SAS Certifications (technically 5 if you include the Base Certification which precedes the Advanced Certification):
I should get around to some of the VA Certifications..
SAS Certification was my gateway into presenting at SAS Global Forum, when I presented a Certification paper at San Francisco in 2013: "SAS Certification: Understand the Benefits of SAS Certification, Which SAS Certifications Are Avail...
As I indicated in my paper, what I found surprising was how those with many years of (un-certified) experience looked on the certification process as a "short-cut" to bypass experience. What I've tried to impress is that SAS Certification is simply yet another method of validating one's SAS capabilities - along with experience, publication, references, etc - with the one major factor being that SAS Certification is the one method which is objectively (and externally) measured.
A quick question: I found your post in the "SAS Communities Library" group. Is there a separate group/community solely for Certification?
Regards,
Andrew.
@AndrewHowell, there is a specific community as per the link @beccagre shared above http://communities.sas.com/certification
I've been told, this is the soft launch with the Certification community being added in the "Find a Community" menu in the "Learn SAS" category next week.
Kind Regards,
Michelle
Thanks for the correction @MichelleHomes - my glance at the URL thought it was a link to the support.sas.com/certify site.. [Mea culpa..]
Hi Becky,
Great to see a dedicated Certification community for SAS users and thanks for your introduction. I look forward to the collaboration, discussions and learning more about the programs.
Personally, I got certified for self-assessment and fun. I have the following SAS certifications (https://www.youracclaim.com/user/michellehomes)

SAS Certification has helped me gain a deeper understanding of the topic area which assists in working with SAS customers and as an instructor for SAS Education classes in Australia.
Kind Regards,
Hi Becky,
Will the Certification Community be listed in the "Find a Community" menu soon?
Regards,
Andrew.
Hi @AndrewHowell: Monday, April 4 is when the SAS Certification Community will appear in the menu! I appreciate the comments from you and @MichelleHomes about your certifications. You're both quite accomplished! I look forward to the wisdom you'll share on that board.
@ANorthup & @SJSlaughter also presented an excellent Certification paper at last year's #SASGF in Dallas.
Paper 2620-2015: SAS Certification as a Tool for Professional Development

Hi ,
I am looking for advanced SAS certification. Can someone help me to get the Advanced SAS preparation guide .
@liamsi, this is a link to the guide. Here are some flash cards that I looked through when I studied. I also used this (unofficial) app. This looks like the iPhone equivalent.
