SAS® Studio is a programming environment that can run new and existing SAS® programs, read files from many data sources, and much more. When SAS programs, files, or data sets contain national characters, you might see truncated string, odd characters, or transcoding errors. In this 10-minute SAS Global Forum super demo, I show some common issues that occur when national characters are present and introduces you to tools and tips to help you achieve success.

Thanks for this video, I'll read the aforementioned papers. Basechar() and Kpropdata() functions are especially useful with SAS SPRE sessions on Viya when dealing with extended (European here) Charsets.
