SAS Enterprise Miner shortcut: 3 ways to manage your projects

Thank you to M-E Eddlestone, SAS Analytics Technical Advisor, for contributing these three tips to keep track of your SAS Enterprise Miner projects as part of the SAS Enterprise Miner shortcut series.

  1. You can version your work through either model packages (includes results) or saving diagrams as XML (no results).2.1_3 ways to manage your project.png


  2. You can copy data sources from one project to another. Data sources (the small tables that contain the metadata about your input data set) are stored in the Data Sources folder/directory of your project. There will be multiple files per input data source. Select all of the metadata tables for an input data source and copy them to the Data Sources folder/directory of another project.


  3. You can easily straighten up your diagram using the bottom on the lower right (Left to Right or Top to Down)
