2021_1.jpg2021 was supposed to be the year where we put 2020 in the rearview mirror. This was going to be the year to skip down the path of life, on a sunny day, with an ice cream cone in hand. Then 2021 gets here and..... well I don't have to tell you, it's had a rocky start. I'm going to focus on the bright side here and celebrate the success and awesomeness of the the SAS Community and the SAS Bowl.

SAS Bowl and event details

Earlier this week, we completed SAS Bowl VI, SAS APIs, which had Community members buzzing. Today, I'm writing to introduce SAS Bowl VII, The Matching Game, which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, at 10 AM ET.

Add the game to your calendar or download the article attachment for an event reminder. No pre-registration is required. On game day, access the game URL,  provide your SAS Support Communities username (so we can identify you when you win), and show off your SAS and worldly knowledge while competing for bragging rights and SAS Community game gear

Join the game. (on game day only)

For those who may be new to the SAS Bowl, you can find game history and specifics in this Community memo. There you'll also find links to previous events, which include recordings.

Where will the questions come from?

This Valentine's Day inspired edition features bringing things together in SAS. From table joins and data merges, to proc psmatch, to love-themed graphics, and even marriage proposals. Below is a list of resources we've identified and will pull questions from. Reading through these resources will provide you an advantage when participating in the game.

See you on February 9th!

L❤️VE how you've incorporated matching data with a Valentines Day theme... so cool... Does that mean there may be a Valentines Day themed general question too?

Seeing the title and theme of SAS Bowl VII I was reminded to my childhood where there was a TV blind date game show in Australia named, Perfect Match. On the show a robot Dexter would provide a compatibility score of the couple... don't think it was algorithm based back and more for entertainment. I much prefer to see data matching these days... 😆🤓

Looking forward to seeing you on Feb 9th and text chatting with participants again. I really enjoyed being able to chat with people during the game. Thanks!
