Announcement: Beginning April 28, 2023, SAS will deliver software via Electronic Software Delivery (ESD) only. SAS will no longer ship physical media such as DVDs for any SAS software versions 9 or earlier.
In addition, SAS will no longer deliver an FTP downloadable install for z/OS. All z/OS customers can utilize the electronic software delivery documentation at Installation Instructions for SAS 9.4 Electronic Software Delivery for Planned Installations on z/OS
This change has no impact on SAS Viya, as it has only been delivered electronically through My SAS.
SAS software, for releases under Standard Support, is available for secure download using SAS Download Manager. Moving forward if you relied on SAS delivering DVD media, we encourage you to speak to an Infrastructure Technology team member at your company for options that satisfy your company’s security policies.
