SAS 9.4 Platform Releases and Product Versions Moving to Limited Support in 2026
As outlined in Support for SAS® 9.4 & Earlier Releases, SAS Technical Support would like to make you aware of important dates for SAS 9.4 customers in 2026.
To make the most of your SAS investment and keep systems secure, SAS encourages customers to run the latest SAS software and apply hot fixes regularly. However, we recognize that some deployments, such as certified or verified systems, are not easy to change in coordination with SAS’ release schedule. With this in mind, we are offering SAS Extended Technical Support for software that has moved to Limited Support. Please speak to your Account Executive for more information and to see if your system qualifies.
Several 9.4 maintenance releases and products are moving from Standard Support to Limited Support in 2026. Limited Support means that the software will no longer receive security patches or bug fixes; it is no longer available for download; and the severity level handling, defined at Support Request Response Time, is severity level 3 or lower. SAS 9.4 Products Moving to Limited Support in 2026
When a new SAS 9.4-based version becomes generally available for a product, SAS updates the version for that product as well as the Limited Support dates for that product version. This information is available at Support Levels by Product. If you are running a product version newer than the version(s) listed below or are seeking information about the latest version of a product after this article published, then please search for your product’s lifecycle information there.
Specific versions of products and solutions moving to Limited Support in 2026 are listed below. Note that if a product or older versions of a product moved to Limited Support prior to 2026 it will not be listed here. You will find it at Support Levels by Product.
