If the virtual machine process for SAS Data Loader for Hadoop (Trial Edition) is stopped abnormally (through an action other than a normal Shut Down or Power Off), you might encounter an error when you try to start it again. For example, you might receive the error
HTTP Status 404 - /SASDataLoader, Description: The requested resource is not available.
If this situation occurs, follow these steps:
On Macintosh (VMware Fusion):
- Select Virtual Machine -> Shut Down. In the second dialog box, select Shut Down as well.
- Select Virtual Machine -> Start Up to restart the virtual machine.
On Windows systems (VMware Player or VMware Workstation):
- Select Shut Down Guest. At the prompt Are you sure you want to power off the virtual machine and exit?, select Yes.
- Restart VMware Player or VMware Workstation, and play the SAS Data Loader for Hadoop virtual machine.
