In order to use the SAS Data Loader vApp, your machine must have hardware-assisted virtualization enabled.   Typically, new computers that meet SAS Data Loader system requirements will already have virtualization enabled. However, if your machine does not have this in place, you might receive an error message stating that VT-x or AMD-v is not available.

SAS Note 46250 describes the steps for verifying and enabling hardware virtualization.  Note that these steps were originally documented for the SAS University Edition, an earlier vApp released by SAS.  These steps are the same for SAS Data Loader.
