DataPanelimage.pngThe SAS Visual Analytics Data Panel’s default grouping is by classification. The application allows you to change this group type. The SAS User Experience team wants to understand how you’re using these options. Below are several approaches. Please comment with feedback on your usage, and any other perspective on this function.

Which one or more best describes your use case?

1) I never change the grouping. I always use ‘by classification.’

2) I change the grouping option, and use:

a) by First Letter

b) by Data Type

c) by Format

d) by Aggregation

Thanks in advance for your feedback - it is much appreciated!

Hi Sheila,

I always use the data panel grouping using the default setting - 'by classification'.

I'm wondering whether you may want to create a poll for this question so that the responses can be tallied easily?

Cheers,

Michelle

Thanks for your fast response, Michelle! The polls allow you to only respond with one answer, and we were looking for any and all scenarios you may go through with this function. So an article made more sense in this case.

Understand. Thanks Anna.

1) I never change the grouping. I always use ‘by classification.’

by classification is the best, i never changed group items...

To everyone that has responded, thank you! Your answers are very helpful to the VA design team in Cary.
