Each video is independent, yet collectively they tell a cohesive story to demonstrate all phases of the analytic life cycle. We use the same table, SASHELP.HOMEEQUITY, to begin with data access and exploration, then perform data cleansing and build an interactive report, and wrap up with deploying a predictive model and leveraging it an automated decision flow. It's quite the complete and compelling data story!

SAS Viya Overview e-learning course
The SAS Viya Overview e-learning course is free to everyone! The course combines the SAS Viya quick start videos into a comprehensive learning experience, complete with written steps to follow along with each of the demonstrations. You simply need to login to our learning platform with your SAS profile, and you'll be ready to begin.
How can I get my hands on SAS Viya to follow along?
Here are several options:
SAS Virtual Lab
If you have an active SAS learning subscription that includes the SAS Viya Overview course, then we also provide learners with a virtual lab. The lab has all the supporting files loaded. You'll just need to follow the instructions labeled "Setting Up Your Practice Files" in the course to get started.
Viya for Learners
If you are in the world of academia, either as a student or an educator, then visit SAS Viya for Learners to access free learning software. Follow these steps to set up the supporting files to follow along with the quick start demos:
Launch SAS Viya for Learners.
Click the Applications menu in the upper left corner and select Develop Code and Flows. SAS Studio opens.
The files can be accessed from the Explorer pane on the left side of SAS Studio. Expand Files > Home > Courses > quick-start.
All files in the Courses folder are Read-Only. To successfully complete this course, you must copy the quick-start folder to a location with write access. Right-click the quick-start folder and select Copy To. Select Home and click OK. The copied Home > quick-start folder allows for write access.
Expand the quick-start folder and double-click _Load_Quick_Start_Data.sas to open the program. Click Run to execute the program, generate the data, and load tables into memory.
In the Results tab, confirm that the HOME_EQUITY and CUSTOMER tables are listed in the report.
SAS Viya 14-day Free Trial
SAS also provides a 14-day free trial offer that can be used to follow along with most of the quick start videos. Visit the SAS Viya Free Trial page to register. The supporting files for the quick start videos are not pre-loaded in the environment, but we provide everything you need to set it up in the sas-viya-quick-start GitHub repository.
