The model card in SAS Model Manager acts as a nutrition label for understanding model health. Our team has gotten a lot of positive feedback around the model card as well as a recurring request to make the model card sharable outside of SAS Model Manager. With the 2026.07 release of SAS Model Manager, the model card can now be exported as a PDF and shared to your heart’s content. Once generated, the PDF file can be shared with across team and saved externally.
And it isn’t just our original model card that can be exported as a PDF file. The new lighter model card can be exported as a PDF as well. Additionally, any custom charts that were added to the model card via a SAS Visual Analytics report will be included in the generated PDF.
To download a model card as a PDF, click the new options menu on the model and select “Export Model Card as PDF”. From the dialog, you can make formatting selections or exclude sections of the model card from the generated file. Be advised that adding a large report from SAS Visual Analytics to a model card will increase the length of time it will take to generate and export the PDF file. The generation will take place in the background and your browser should notify you when the PDF is ready for download.
