What is ‘Email Warm Up’?
Email warm-up refers to the methodical process of gradually increasing the volume of emails sent from a new IP address and/or domain over several days and weeks. This is done in order to establish a positive sending reputation with mailbox providers. When a new domain or IP address sends emails, mailbox providers initially view them as suspicious until a positive sending reputation is established. It typically takes 4-8 weeks to achieve maximum deliverability, depending on the volume of emails and recipient engagement. If the emails are not perceived as "wanted" by recipients (i.e., recipients have not explicitly signed up for them), warming up the email sending could take even longer. Additionally, certain mailbox providers impose limits on the number of messages that can be delivered per day until a positive sender reputation is established."
