Customer Intelligence 360: Available user roles and how to manage user roles

SAS Administrators can manage user roles in SAS Customer Intelligence 360 by navigating to General > Users > User Roles.

Two items of note:

1. The User Roles page is available only to administrators.
2. By default, the Engage Viewer and Insights Viewer roles are assigned to all new users.

Available user roles:

• Activity Designer

Access rights include Change Schedule, Edit Activities, Edit Data Views, Edit Email Tasks, Edit Mobile Tasks, Edit Web Tasks, Show Activities, Show Creatives, Show Data Views, Show Email Tasks, Show Events, Show Messages, Show Mobile Tasks, Show Segments, Show Spots, and Show Web Tasks.

• Asset Designer

Access rights include Edit Assets and Show Assets.

• Asset Manager

Access rights include Edit Assets, Permanently Delete Assets, and Show Assets.

• Creative Designer

Access rights include Edit Creatives, Edit Messages, Show Assets, Show Creatives, and Show Messages.

• Direct Marketing Designer

Access rights include Change Schedule, Edit Data Views, Edit Direct Marketing Tasks, Show Creatives, Show Data Views, Show Direct Marketing Tasks, Show Events, Show Messages, Show Segments, and Show Spots.

• Discover Admin

Access rights include Edit Events, Show Advanced Configurations, Show Basic Configurations, and Show Events.

• Email Designer

Access rights include Change Schedule, Edit Data Views, Edit Email Tasks, Show Creatives, Show Data Views, Show Email Tasks, Show Events, Show Messages, Show Segments, and Show Spots.

• Engage Financials and Planning Viewer

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Show Financials, and Show Planning Items.

• Engage Financials Creator

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Edit Financials, Show Financials, and Show Planning Items.

• Engage Planning Creator

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Edit Planning Items, and Show Planning Items.

• Engage Super User

Access rights include Change Schedule, Edit Data Views, Edit Mobile Tasks, Show Creatives, Show Data Views, Show Events, Show Messages, Show Mobile Tasks, Show Spots, and Show Segments.

• Plan API User

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Edit Financials, Edit Planning Items, Show Financials, and Show Planning Items.

• Plan Approvals Creator

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Edit Plan Approval Cycle, Edit Workflows, and Show Plan Approval Cycle.

• Plan Approver

Access rights include Approve Plan, Delete Comments, and Edit Comments.

• Plan Financials and Planning Viewer

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Show Financials, Show Planning Items, and Show Plans.

• Plan Financials Creator

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Edit Financials, Show Financials, Show Planning Items, and Show Plans.

• Plan Planning Creator

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Edit Planning Items, Show Planning Items, and Show Plans.

• Plan Super User

Access rights include Approve Plan, Complete Workflow Task Assignments, Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Edit Financials, Edit Planning Items, Edit Plan Approval Cycle, Edit Workflows, Show Financials, Show My Workflows, Show My Workflow Tasks, Show Plan Approval Cycle, Show Planning Items, Show Plans, and Show Plan Workflows.

• Publisher

This role has the Change Status access right.

Note: A user with the Publisher role can only publish, republish, or end an object. To edit or set the status (for example, Pause a task, Resume a task, Mark Ready, or Return to Designing) for an object on the Orchestration page, a user who has the Publisher role must also be assigned to a role with Edit access rights for the object. For example, a user with the Publisher role can edit or set the status for segments if the user is also assigned to the Segment Designer role. As a best practice, a user with the Publisher role should be assigned to one or more Designer roles.

• Segment Designer

Access rights include Edit Segments, Show Data Views, Show Events, and Show Segments.

• Settings Admin

Access rights include Show Admin Settings and Show Data Collection Configurations.

• Spot Designer

Access rights include Edit Spots and Show Spots.

• Web Designer

Access rights include Change Schedule, Edit Data Views, Edit Web Tasks, Show Creatives, Show Data Views, Show Events, Show Messages, Show Spots, and Show Segments, and Show Web Tasks.

• Workflow Contributor

Access rights include Complete Workflow Task Assignments, Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Show My Workflow Tasks, and Show Planning Items.

• Workflow Manager

Access rights include Delete Comments, Edit Comments, Edit Workflows, Show My Workflows, Show Planning Items, Show Plans, and Show Plan Workflows.
