As I was preparing to update our Modern Data Science with SAS® Viya® Workbench and Python course, I realized this end-to-end demonstration was worth sharing ahead of time.

In today's analytics workflows, seamless collaboration between data scientists, developers, and operations teams is more important than ever. This video shows exactly how SAS Viya and SAS Viya Workbench—together with Git—make that collaboration secure, efficient, and production-ready.

In the video, you'll learn how to:

  • Clone and manage GitHub repositories from SAS Viya Workbench using Visual Studio Code
  • Make, track, and commit code changes using Git
  • Access and reuse Git assets from SAS Studio in SAS Viya
  • Set up GitHub authentication and Git profiles in SAS Viya
  • Run SAS programs in batch mode using the SAS Viya CLI across Git branches

Whether you're developing models, managing versioned code, or moving from prototype to production, this demo shows how Git provides a secure, governed, and flexible bridge between development and deployment.

Watch the video below to see it in action.

Thanks for watching!
