Hi Im wondering if the Sas Help and Dcoumentation that is accesible in Sas 9.4 is stored offline? I often use SAS when im on the go and dont have internet access. I tend to have my own notes on how to use several functions, so is it possible to edit sas documentation if the files are stored in the program? I found that there are some files with .hlp extensions that would imply that they are used for the documentation. But so far i wasnt able to edit them. Any idea if that is possible?

You can download them as PDF or EPUB. If you're using a version other than SAS University Edition, it usually has it built in though.

To download as EPUB or PDF, go the documentation you want, ie Base or SAS/STAT and look at the top right corner. It says EPUB or PDF and you can download the files in your desired format.

Here's a link to a PDF as an example. It takes a while to load at first, then save it to your computer.

It may have been an option on install that was not chosen. I know that I have the documentation stored on my computer for 9.4.

I suspect for later installs you need to ask for that as part of the installation package though.
