SAS License renewal

Hi my boss has tasked  me with renewing are SAS license. The problem is that all the directions I see are for 9.4 xx to 9.4 xx, we are currently at 9.3 xx. Is there a  way to renew that or will I need to install a new version of SAS the 9.4 version?

What does your SAS licence file say? Find the line that looks like this:

PROC SETINIT RELEASE='9.4';

If it says 9.3 then it is good to apply to SAS 9.3. You don't need to upgrade to apply a SAS licence as long as the release numbers match. If you don't have a new SAS 9.3 licence then request one from SAS, assuming the licence has already been paid.
