Hi guys,

suppose to have the following table:

data have;
input N Profession1 Profession2 ;
cards;
0 12 1
10 34 56
20 2 3
50 56 13
60 4 76
70 78 77
90 12 90
100 56 2
;;;;
run;

Then you have another table you know has N rows.

Is there a way to divide each value of the first table (have) by this N (it can change so I cannot set every time the exact value that I know what it is)?

Thank you in advance

So in this example, the second data set for me is WORK.CCH1. Naturally, you would change the code based upon your actual data set name.

proc sql;
    create table z as select nobs from dictionary.tables where libname="WORK" and memname="CCH1";
quit;

data want;
    if _n_=1 then set z;
    set have;
    n=n/nobs;
    profession1=profession1/nobs;
run;
