Help with Dates Dilema

[UMR13]

Hello,  I am having an issue figuring out how to do this on SAS. I have provided a picture below

MC3-1 are different months of completion. I need the latest month of completion which would be MC3 if it has a month, MC2 if MC3 is missing and MC1 if MC3 and MC2 are missing. 

What would be the simplest way of doing this?

Use the COALESCEC function
