I'm trying to create an excel Pivot Table from a SAS dataset located in  permanent library. The issue I'm having is the Date column is not converting correctly. It gives me a warning:

"Date and time values will not be converted."

When I continue, it creates a pivot table but the date column changes to meaningless values.

Any assistance on this please?

Thanks

Is it the same if you just export the data as a table, not a pivot?

If so you can create a pivot from the table in excel instead?

I was trying to avoid the row limitation in excel and that's why I decided to keep my file in SAS and build the pivot table off of it.

Thanks

It sounds like you were opening the SAS data set directly from your local file system.   In order to keep date and/or time values formatted in pivot tables, you need to open it from a SAS library, either defined in SAS Management Console or a simple LIBNAME statement in the SAS Programs window.
