Hi, the SAS Solution Factory seems to be a great tool. Is there or will there be training for this tool? Is it an official SAS product or an early release (tool and GUI)? Thanks in advance.
We don't have SAS Education training available at the moment but can work with teams when necessary. It's not currently product (in progress) but solutions created by it are used by many customers and solutions we have in SAS.
Thanks, looking forward to the tool becoming a product, is there an estimate when could this happen? Are there many companies currently using this then?
Next year, no official date at the moment, but we hope Q2. Yes, many customers. I can't give official numbers but around 30-40.
Is the expectation that generated code has to be maintained/updated via the GUI interface (or JSON file), rather than the individual generated files?
They don't have to be but it's definitely best practice to not edit the generated code. It makes it easier to modify and extend but also to upgrade in the future. It's possible to use something like Git to track small edits and reapply them after regenerating at least.
