@Reeza @ChrisHemedinger @ChrisHemedinger @ShelleySessoms  My site should be fully available now. I changed from Windows hosting to Linux hosting, so all links became case sensitive. Of the more than 30,000 links, only less than 20 were not working(!). You may have to empty your browser cache, since the IP address changed.

Let me know if there are still issues.

It's definitely down, but I don't know if that's just a glitch or something more devastating. Definitely wouldn't be nice losing both it and sasCommunity.org in the same year.

Don't worry Art, @Lex_SAS seems to be pretty committed to maintaining his site, and he even graciously offered to host/index those historical SUGI papers that currently live on sasCommunity.org.  (I'm currently working with our own web site team on a plan for these -- but we'll definitely count on Lex to index them for searching on his site.)

I saw this on his Twitter feed this morning:

has not been very accessible the last days - but I’m migrating to a more reliable provider- stay tuned (and stay away from ReadyHosting for you website hosting). Thanks for your patience and support.

Hi folks,

No worries! I have been having a lot of issues with my current Internet Service Provider (ReadyHosting). I have had 4 chat sessions over the last days with their support, and they are still maintaining that everything is fine(!).

Since the end of August, when they updated their systems, resulting in my site not functioning for almost 14 days, malfunctioing of their server has been a recurring nightmare. The most horrible technical support I have ever seen.

So, finally, I got so fed up that I changed to a different provider last night.

They have migrated my files (14Gb) overnight. I just need to make few small adjustment, but expect my site to be available again in the next 24 hours. It should also be much faster and more reliable!

Thanks again for your support and patience.

That is great to hear, @Reeza The last months were a horrible experience for keeping my site available. This migration will be good for my sleep 😉
