I'd like to change the permissions of the spdsserv, spdsnsrv, and spdssnet logs from 600 to 640. In the rc.spds script I don't see where permissions are set, I assume 600 is by default. How do I change these? Can I just add the command

chmod 640 $DSRVLOGOPT

etc. somewhere to the file?

I haven't any SPDS in UNIX available at the moment, but your suggestion doesn't sound optimal.

But haven't you tried it?

I would rather play with the umask settings.
