Sas upgrade

We want to perform SAS UPGRADE from 9.4 M5 to 9.4 M7. Should we give the SAS HOME as the current location where the old version was installed or should we point it to a different location. Also require steps to roll back or backing out of the upgrade.

Regarding your second question:

Make sure that you have a complete, current system backup available, so you can restore your SAS installation and configuration trees if necessary.

If you are planning an upgrade in-place then by definition you will be installing in exactly the same folder locations as your current installation.
