Hello Everyone,

How does the SAS platform administrator control which tasks the user sees within the SAS addin?

Customizing the tasks during the installation process

Through the use of metadata roles

By setting access permissions

Modifying a configuration option in the Microsoft applications

Can anyone tell how can SAS Admin control which task user can see within sas admin. As per my prediction it can be done through use of metadata roles. This looks confusing but there is one more option which is setting access permissions which don't seems to be appropriate answer. Please let us know which is the correct option. For more information please refer the picture

Since the question is referring to tasks, this is controlled by metadata roles. Access permissions would apply to accessing content, such as tables, stored processes, (metadata content). Roles have to do with what menu choices, tool bar icons (tasks) that are available through the interface. For example, a user may have the readmetadata permission to see/access a table, but may be in a role that doesn't allow for him/her to run certain tasks against that table (statistical procedures) as it isn't a menu choice available.

This forum is primarily not for answering test questions.
The best way to figure stuff like this out is by testing it in a SAS environment.

As @LinusH mentioned, this is not the place to post certification exam questions, particularly images from the exam. I have removed the image and asked the certification team at SAS to weigh in with guidelines/suggestions.
