SAS 9.4 News for z/OS (MVS)

In 2025, IBM is building on this legacy with z/OS Version 3 Release 2 (3.2) - an operating system release designed for hybrid cloud and AI, fully aligned with the new IBM z17. SAS is proud to partner with IBM in support of our mutual customers.  Below is a list of current activities:

SAS 9 wants to let you know our plans to support IBM z/OS 3.2 and z17 systems:

• SAS has validated SAS 9.4M8 and 9.4M9 on z/OS Version 3 Release 2.   
• SAS has validated SAS 9.4M8 on the new z17 zSeries systems.

With a 2025 delivery target, SAS is also working to support the use of (64-bit) IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for z/OS, Version 21.0 with the SAS 9.4M9 31-bit z/OS platform.  Before installing SAS9.4 M9 on z/OS, please read this article  If you are looking to install SAS 9.4M9 on z/OS, please read on.....
