What details are stored in Metadata for RS?
Check in SMC -> Foundation Services Manager -> Remote Services -> Core -> Platform Service Registry
Under TCPIp Connection, what host name is specificed.
Does this match your machine? is it local host? 127.0.0.1?
Also check the Event Broker Service -> Service Configuration -> Configuration ->Connections -> Edit, and check machine name.
Check that the entry in here exists in your hosts file and try to start RS.
If it was me, I would have localhost, on the assumption that Jboss is running on the same PC.
Any anti virus differences between Network PC and Not? perhaps multicast is being blocked?
