We are currently in the process of migrating our database from DB2 to SQL Server. As part of this migration, we have:

  • Installed the SQL Server ODBC driver
  • Configured the ODBC connectivity in both odbc.ini and odbcinst.ini
  • Successfully tested connectivity to the SQL Server database using the isql command

However, when we execute our shell script that runs the SAS script, we encounter the following error: Invalid sequence of commands for file SASDB.match_key.DATA.

We have already provided the required driver details in the ODBC configuration for the SAS script to connect via ODBC.

Notably, the same SAS script and setup are working correctly in our DEV environment. We have cross-verified the configurations between DEV and the current environment, and they appear to be identical.

Could you please assist us in troubleshooting this issue? Any guidance or diagnostic steps would be greatly appreciated.

At the very least we need to see the complete steps in your SAS log with any errors you are getting.
