Can Empty User folders be deleted? SAS 9

New to SAS. Is it advisable to delete a users folder in Mgmt console if it is empty?  Just trying to clean things up and wondered if this is something that I should/ should not do. These are on the Folders tab in the mgmt console.  Attached a screen print.

These are metadata folders and it would be unwise to delete them unless the user is no longer a SAS user and can also be deleted from  user metadata.
