Select Missing or Null Values in Display Conditions Criteria
You can select missing or null values when you define the display conditions criteria in an email task. This feature enables you to display email content that is based on whether an attribute is missing.

In the Display Conditions window, you can enable the Select missing values option when you set criteria:

Select Missing Values Option

This is the result of selecting that option:

Sample Entry for Missing Value

2207_EMAIL_NullMissingValues_2.png

This option can be useful in a scenario in which a customer is assigned a bank branch. You might personalize an email with an advisor’s name and content that is based on the branch. If a customer has not been assigned a bank branch, that value is missing or null and the default content can be shown instead.

Note: The Select missing values option checks for values that are missing (that is, an operator that is equivalent to "equal to missing"), but there is no check to exclude missing values (an operator that is equivalent to "a value is not equal to missing").

Single URL for All Regions of SAS Customer Intelligence 360
Beginning with this release, you can easily access SAS Customer Intelligence 360 by using this single URL: https://ci360.sas.com.

You no longer need to access the software through SAS App Central (https://cloud.sas.com) or a regional URL (for example, https://platform-<region_code>.ci360.sas.com/SASCustomerIntelligenceHome.)

If you have tenants across regions, those tenants can all be accessed through the new, single URL. After logging in, you are presented with all the tenants that you have access to across the five production regions.

All the URLs that you currently use and have bookmarked continue to work as before.

Integration with SAS Intelligent Decisioning
Beginning with this release, you can use the SAS Intelligent Decisioning connector to integrate with SAS Intelligent Decisioning. Previously, you had to configure at least one agent in order to integrate with SAS Intelligent Decisioning.

The SAS Intelligent Decisioning connector provides the ability to map SAS Customer Intelligence 360 data as inputs to published decision flows in SAS Intelligent Decisioning. When you configure the connector, you can also automatically trigger a decision flow that is based on a defined set of events.

This feature enables you to use the analytical capabilities of SAS Intelligent Decisioning in SAS Customer Intelligence 360. For example, you can invoke a published decision flow based on a user action. Then, you can use the outcome of that decision (which can be any number of variables such as probability score or recommendation) in a task for targeting or personalization purposes.

Alert for Impending Expired iOS Mobile Certificate and Key
To publish mobile push notifications and in-app messages in SAS Customer Intelligence 360, you must register specific certificates and keys for both iOS (Apple) and Android (Google) in General Settings => Content Delivery => Mobile Applications.

Apple certificates and keys have expiration dates. If these certificates and keys are not updated on time, the sending of your mobile marketing messages could be adversely affected.

In this release, you can now receive email notifications when credentials need to be updated. This feature helps prevent delays in mobile messaging due to expired credentials.

By default, these expiring credentials notifications are not enabled. If you enable the option, the individuals that you specify receive an email with details about the expiring credentials. The notification is sent to the email recipients one month, one week, and one day before the expiration date of the certificate.

Note: Notification of expiring certificates is also provided in the Notifications window that is accessed by clicking the notifications button on the application bar.

This feature is available for iOS only.

Replace Creatives for Mobile Push Notification and In-App Message Tasks
In this release, you can now replace the creatives in a mobile push notification task or a mobile in-app message task after the task is published.

You can update or replace the creative for a push notification or an in-app message within the task configuration area, and then republish the task for your changes to take effect. It is important to note that republishing a task resets the enforcement of impression limits.

Blocking Option for the Attach Identity Event for the SAS Tag
The SAS tag enables you to send events that associate a specific identity record with any subsequent events. In this release, there is a new variant of the attach identity event that you can use to block any subsequent events until the identity event is processed by SAS Customer Intelligence 360. The blocking event makes sure that the SAS tag synchronizes the processing of events in the ingest and tag service queues. The result is that the identity event properly updates the datahub ID before subsequent events are sent.

This feature ensures that the currently (attached) identity is correctly associated with events in the session. The ability to queue events and ensure correct association with a datahub ID increases the accuracy of reaching your targeted audience with specific content.

Schema Version 9 for the Unified Data Model and Common Data Model
For customers who download data from SAS Customer Intelligence 360, you now have access to a new schema version for the Unified Data Model (UDM) and Common Data Model (CDM).

Schema 9 includes some additions for email, billing, and cost-center budgeting.

Here is a summary of the additions:

  • The EMAIL_OPEN table includes a new prefetched_flg column. This column collects prefetch data for users with an iOS device that have activated Apple’s Mail Privacy Protection feature (MPP).
  • The DAILY_USAGE and MONTHLY_USAGE tables include the api_usage_str column. This column is a string representation of the metrics for REST API calls.
  • For SAS 360 Plan:
    • New tables are added to the UDM to support cost-center budgeting.
    • The PLANNING_INFO table includes the parent_id column, which includes the ID of the planning item's parent.
  • The MD_SEGMENT_MAP_X_SEGMENT table includes the segment_version_id column. This column contains the version ID for a segment. You can use this new column to join records from the CDM_SEGMENT_DETAIL table in the CDM.

For a complete list of updates, see Updates for Schema 9 in the UDM for SAS Customer Intelligence 360 in the SAS Communities.

Calculated Data Items
This feature will be generally available in an upcoming 22.07 maintenance release.

IMPORTANT: When the calculated data items feature is released, you must update your directing marketing agent in order to use the feature.

Users of SAS 360 Engage: Direct can now define calculated data items for use in export templates and segment maps.

Calculated items are data items that are created from functions that use existing data items. Calculated items can be used in items that are in the same business context such as export templates, segments maps, or direct marketing tasks. The items are found in the Calculated Items subfolder in the Customer Profile folder.

Calculated items can be used in several ways:

  • as export fields in an export template
  • as data items in nodes in a segment map, such as criteria and export nodes
  • as export fields in an export template for a direct marketing task
  • as data items in another calculated item

For example, to assemble a segment of customers who are an above-average age, you could design a calculated data item based on the average age of your customer base.
