What's New for CI360 in August 2023

SAS Customer Intelligence 360 releases operate on a continuous delivery model that allows for a more scalable, phased approach to feature deployment. Accordingly, these release notes are updated several times a month. Check them regularly.

 

Unless otherwise specified, the features listed below are General Availability. Features that are released as Limited Availability and Release Preview are indicated. For more information about release levels, see Phased Releases for SAS Customer Intelligence 360. The August 2023 release of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 includes the following new features and enhancements.

 

Features released on August 30:

 

  • Audience Replacement Option for Facebook Audience TasksThe option to replace audience members when uploading data to Facebook is now available on the production tenant for all customers.

  • Audience Replacement Option for Google Ads TasksThe option to replace audience members when uploading data to Google is now available on the production tenant for all customers.

Features released on August 23:

 

  • On-premises Segment Maps: Data for an on-premises segment map is deleted one year after the last successful occurrence of the segment map. The change affects tasks that use the segment data from on-premises segment maps and static link nodes where the data for the link node is not regenerated each time that the link node is run.

    If the Date Run for the segment map occurred more than one year ago, republish and run the segment map to generate new data. A task that uses the segment data that is generated by running the on-premises segment map fails if the data for the segment does not exist.

Features released on August 16:

 

  • Layout Manager Updates in Email: Updates to the layout manager are now generally available. Improvements include better user experience, styling updates, and improved rendering when working with different screen sizes.

  • Working with Content in Email Layout Manager: Updates to the user experience while working with content in the layout manager are now generally available. Improvements include styling updates and making it easier to add and reorder content.

  • Multiple-Columns Element Updates in Email Layout Manager: Updates to multiple columns element are now generally available. If you use a multiple columns element with two columns, you can now resize it after content is added.

  • Review Tab in Email Task: Updates to Review tab are now generally available. Everything is on one tab instead of several pages. Responsive previews now include email header information. The review results are now organized by device type, and you can scroll through variations. It is also easier to access run history and rerun tests.

     A SAS 360 Engage: Email Testing license is required to access some of these features.

  • Email Preview Text Formatting: Updates to email preview text are now generally available. Extra padding is appended to the end of the email preview text. Some email clients display the email content immediately after the preview text. These hidden characters prevent the email's body from appearing in the preview in most email clients.

  • Audience Support for Email Bulk Tasks (Limited Availability): Audiences built with Snowflake or Google BigQuery data are now available for email bulk tasks.

Features released on August 9:

 

  • On-premises Agents: The General agent and the Optimize agent are updated and now require Java 11 as a prerequisite. For details about how to upgrade the agents, see these topics:

  • Environment Setup Guide: Obsolete domains are removed from the list of domains that you need to allow through your firewall. For the current list of domains, see Task 6: Allow Domains in SAS Customer Intelligence 360: Environment Setup Guide.

Features released on August 2:

 

    • Email Task Insights Reports: The following Email Task Insights reports are updated to present metrics for unique counts for conversions and unsubscribe requests:
      • Email Success Metrics
      • Email Exception Metrics
      • Email Metrics Over Time
      • Email Summary


      The change applies to reports for bulk and triggered email tasks that were activated on or after June 1, 2023. Reports for bulk and triggered email tasks that started before June 1, 2023, use the original metrics of total counts.
