This SAS Visual Analytics example analyzes the Himalayan Database and related death statistics. The Himalayan Database is a compilation of records for all expeditions that have climbed in the Nepal Himalaya. With over 450 peaks and almost 10,000 expeditions, it shows interesting insights about who climbed, what routes they took and related risks in doing so.

The above screenshot gives you a taste of all the data paths you can take. For example, the interactive version of the live report in SAS Visual Analytics provides an ArcGIS 3D Web Scene in the top right corner, which you can use to explore the north and south rim routes of Mt Everest. There is also interactivity between various visualizations and allows detailed analysis for selected routes or peaks.
Note, the report was created using an ultra-wide landscape format and you may need to open the original image for better viewing experience.
I look at the dashboard and want to interact with it... Some fascinating and interesting figures.
You're teasing us Falko with a static view!

Goal achieved then 😉 Seems the infographic made an impression.
But yes, I wish there would be an easy way for me to share the interactive version. I may check with the SAS folks whether there are options.
It sure did! ("Infographic made an impression")
To delve into the detail... and to try out the ArcGIS 3D Web Scene object!!!
How did you get VA to use that lovely mountain image as a background under the bar charts?
I used a precision container and added the large mountain image as a background with the bar charts on top. Also adjusted slightly the transparency of the bar charts.
