Hello,
I'm using PROC CALIS to test my structural model and would like to test the moderating effect of a categorical variable (i.e. gender).

How do I go about testing the effect of a moderator? If I just conduct the analyses separately for men and women, how can I know if there are significant differences in the two models? I'm totally new to SEM and SAS so sorry if this is a basic question!

Thanks!

You might consider a multiple group analysis. See this example in the documentation --

Thanks,

What is ANOVA?

ANOVA, or Analysis Of Variance, is used to compare the averages or means of two or more populations to better understand how they differ. Watch this tutorial for more.
