Hi,
I would like to know the best way to test if a given variable within a single group is affected by time. For example, if one measures the weight of a group of mouse throughout their life, time is expected to have a significant effect on their weight. In contrast, the height of buildings might not be affected by time (well until they are demolished eventually).
I initially thought about using a one-way ANOVA on the different time-point values but my feeling is that I am loosing a lot of power in doing so (because the ANOVA is doing all the possible comparisons). I saw that repeated measures ANOVA might give the information I am looking for (via the Univariate Tests of Hypotheses for Within Subject Effects) but I would like this to be restricted to a single group.
Thanks for your input,
Christian
