Hi,
I would like to import an excel (xlsx) file where the variable names are on the 8th row and the data starts on the 9th row.
How should I go about accomplishing this?
proc import OUT=WORK.spill
datafile="C:\Users\Spill_Data\&file_in..xlsx"
dbms=EXCEL REPLACE;
RANGE="&file_in.$";
GETNAMES=NO;
MIXED=NO;
SCANTEXT=YES;
USEDATE=YES;
SCANTIME=YES;
run;
Thank you.
You can either create a named range in your Excel workbook and import that range with RANGE="myRangeName" or tell SAS where your data is with something like RANGE="&file_in.$A8:AB200" . - PG
Hi
I suppose the following will work. (Not checked)
proc import OUT=WORK.spill
datafile="C:\Users\Spill_Data\&file_in..xlsx"
dbms=EXCEL REPLACE;
RANGE="&file_in.$";
GETNAMES=NO;
MIXED=NO;
namerow = 3;
datarow = 4;
SCANTEXT=YES;
USEDATE=YES;
SCANTIME=YES;
run;
