New with SAS IT Resource Management 3.2 is the User Written Staging Transformation (UWST) that creates staging tables ready for aggregation. At first glance the UWST appears to be nothing more than a User Written Code transformation but it really has much more to offer. It provides facilities to:

  • Control input and output tables through the ITRM Client job flow
  • Set physical table attributes from meta data
  • Compute the date and time variables used for aggregations
  • Check for duplicate data to prevent the same data from being processed twice
  • Check for and prevent future data from being processed
  • Modify processing using parameters set in the ITRM Client GUI
