SAS Super FREQ

Hi:

You could be talking about several different things: you could be talking about creating and activating a SAS Profile (although you must have been partially successful setting up a SAS Profile if you are able to post in the Community Forums); or you could be talking about registering for the free Data Literacy classes (which the students in the CIB program have been taking) or you could be talking about registering for the other resources we offer to academic users.

One issue we discovered with some of the students who were in the CIB program is that they were trying to access the e-learning and taking quizzes and signing up for academic resources using their cell phones, which does not always work. For example, our quizzes are scored with JavaScript and that may cause an issue for cell phones. We recommend using a desktop or laptop computer and one of these browsers, Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari to access the software platforms and the e-learning. Popups and scripting will need to be enabled to take the Data Literacy classes.

Another issue we discovered with many of the students is that they would set up more than one SAS Profile -- maybe one Profile with a GMAIL address, and then another Profile with a HOTMAIL or YAHOO address and then a third Profile with their University-issued email address. This can also cause issues because your training and your access to the software platforms is linked to your Profile, so, as an example, if you sign up for academic access to free training under your University email, but then your browser or password application automatically logs you on with your GMAIL Profile, any attempt to enter the free academic resources would be denied for the GMAIL Profile.

A third issue we discovered is that some students were using a saved bookmark or direct URL to try to enter training or software platforms. Again, this will probably causes issues because your training and software access is linked to your SAS Profile, so if students use a URL that they've been sent or that they've saved, it may or may not work for them.

Yet another issue might have to do with signing up for an account on the Credly web site so you can claim your digital badges for the Data Literacy classes. Some students experienced a delay in getting their notice of a badge award because the mail from Credly was misdirected into a JUNK or SPAM folder.

It's hard to provide concrete help since it is not clear what you are trying to register for -- whether it's your first SAS Profile or your access to SAS OnDemand for Academics or registering for the Data Literacy classes. If you are having any issues with accessing training or signing up for training or signing up for the free academic resources or getting your badges, then your best resource is to send mail to elearn@sas.com and provide us with the email address(es) that you've used to set up your SAS Profile or are trying to use to access the training or the free resources.
