Obesity is a modern epidemic, causing over 4 million deaths per year, globally. In Sweden, 1 in 10 children at preschool are overweight or obese and 80 % of these kids stay overweight or obese during adulthood.

According to previous research in the field and our own survey, we believe that the best way to eradicate this highly preventable epidemic is to tackle it at its roots. In this perspective, we have designed a healthy lifestyle program specifically for families with newborn babies.

The program includes both digital and physical tools as we will create an online marketplace with a simple user interface designed to enable first time parents to easily build and maintain a healthy lifestyle together with their children. The tools will help new parents create healthy routines and lifestyle, by not only providing the appropriate knowledge about nutrition, healthy food, and physical activity, but also by administering the appropriate equipment to act upon this knowledge and establish healthy lifestyle behaviors.
