Hello. I am sitting for the base cert tomorrow and in my review I come across the following question. I am skeptical that this is correct:
Which of the following keywords is used to create a raw data file?
A) filename
B) libname
C) infile
D) set
Answer=
D
I can create a raw data file without a set statement so I didn't think this was correct. I was thinking it would be the 'file' statement, or possibly 'put'. Any insight to this question would be very helpful.
Thank You,
Among them, set is a closer answer.
Among them, set is a closer answer.
Thanks,
How could you create a raw file without SET statement (excluding proc export)? Best of the luck with your exam!
OK, I changed my condition:
How would you create a raw file from a sas dataset without using SET statement (excluding proc export)?
By my definition, only files with extension .dat and .txt.:smileysilly:
I tried using the OLEDB and ODBC engines to create text files (.csv) but that didn't work.
The only way I can think of is :
ods listing file="Consultations\SAS Community\Reports\test.txt" style=normalPrinter;
options nodate nonumber formchar="|----|+|---+=|-/\<>*";
title;
proc sql;
select * from sashelp.class;
quit;
ods listing close;
PG
Linlin, I see your point but that's not the way the original question is worded.
