Extended IQ/OQ custom testing

Anyone knows if there is any documentation on (or if anyone does it) the extended IQ/OQ custom validation?  I am not concerned with the bundled IQ/OQ tests that are part of the deployment testing (run 100+ bundled test suite).  More so where custom IQ/OA tests are developed?  Any pointer is deeply appreciated.
