Hi,

I have a table with XML data stored in an column of an MySQL table. I would like to read and parse the data into individual tables.

All the example that I have found read the data from a xml file. I have the map file ready to parse the data.

How do I import such stored data?

Well, the simplest way, without looking at documentation to see if direct code is possible, is to just read the database as string, and write it out to a temporary file.  Then import it in using normal methods and your map file.  I know its writing out and reading in but its only a few lines of code.

With all the reading and writing, this will soon become a time consuming process. I would rather have a way to directly read the data and then parse it using a map.

This might be the hail mary option.
